June McCoy, violin
June McCoy, a native of Louisville, KY completed her undergraduate work at the University of Louisville, and her graduate work at Louisiana State University.
Having played in professional orchestras throughout the southern states, McCoy is currently a member of the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, the Lawton, OK Orchestra, as well as the Enid Symphony Orchestra in Enid, OK.
She also maintains a studio of private violin students with an emphasis in the Suzuki concept of teaching.
McCoy is one of four women who started the Fine Arts Institute in Edmond, offering art, drama and other opportunities including a children's choir as well as programs for adults who want to enrich their lives with fine art experiences.
She has recently been appointed to the Edmond Arts and Humanities Council.
In addition, McCoy very active in the Oklahoma City Orchestra League serving on the board and working on several of the educational projects that they fund and support.
