Oklahoma City – Each year, the Oklahoma City Philharmonic presents three uniquely delightful concerts led by Associate Conductor Dr. Shanti Simon. These family-friendly performances bring the joy of music to life, offering a fun and enriching experience designed to instill a lifelong love of music in children. Geared towards children ages 4 to 13 and their families, these concerts are complemented by pre-concert lobby activities, including hands-on learning with the Instrument Playground.
“I am thrilled to join the incredible musicians of the OKCPHIL to lead their youth programming this year,” said Associate Conductor Dr. Shanti Simon. “Discovery concerts are engaging, interactive, and exciting! These programs are created to connect with kids. They will experience the grandeur of the OKCPHL in a casual, welcoming, and thrilling environment where they can move around and express their joy for the music as kids naturally do.”
Attendees can expect to hear familiar music from timeless movies and Disney© animated films. The concert features a full orchestra, talented vocalists, and our own Phil the Penguin.
Experience Be Our Guest: Sing Along with Phil at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at the Civic Center Music Hall. Tickets are available now at okcphil.org or by calling (405) 842-5387.
