Rehearsal Observation
Note – There will be no Open Rehearsal for the Clara Luper Centennial Classics Concert the week of May 13th. School/studio groups hoping to engage further with this concert and/or its preparations should email jeana@okcphil.org.
Come watch the process of a professional rehearsal, and then return to see the final product Saturday night! High School, University, and Society of Strings students may attend Wednesday night Classics Concert rehearsals free of charge! $11 Student Tickets for that week’s concert will be sold from the Civic Center box office starting at 6:45 pm on Wednesday nights, prior to the 7:30 rehearsal. Teachers or parents may accompany their students. RSVPs are encouraged but not required. RSVP forms will open the Monday of each Classics Concert week.
Masterclasses with Guest Artists
Select music majors from local universities perform and receive coaching sessions from OKCPHIL guest artists before a public audience. Masterclasses are presented free of charge and are open to the public. Professors and private teachers should join the OKCPHIL Educator’s Club to receive announcements regarding masterclasses.

Daniel Hsu, piano – Friday, February 3, 2023 – Civic Center Music Hall
3-5pm, followed by a Q&A with piano technician, Peter Kraus
featuring the OKCPHIL’s 9-foot Steinway piano from Paris
American pianist Daniel Hsu is increasingly recognized for his easy virtuosity and bold musicianship. He captured the bronze medal and prizes for best performance of both the commissioned work and chamber music at the 2017 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, and is also a 2016 Gilmore Young Artist, first prize winner of the 2015 CAG Victor Elmaleh Competition, and bronze medalist of the 2015 Hamamatsu International Piano Competition. Attendees should enter through the front (east) doors of the Civic Center. Featuring masterclass participants from OCU, OSU, OU, & UCO. Audience members may come and go. Free admission.
$11 Student Tickets
Students with a valid high school or college ID may purchase up to two $11 Student Tickets for each OKCPHIL concert! Student Rush tickets can be purchased in person at the Box Office on the evening of the performance, beginning 1 hour to curtain. Student discount vouchers can be purchased online beginning the Wednesday before the concert, securing you a seat. Vouchers may be redeemed for a ticket at the Box Office the evening of the performance. Best available seating is provided for Student Tickets.
Admittance to OKCPHIL Classics Concert Wednesday night rehearsals are included with the purchase of a Student Ticket to the corresponding concert. See the Rehearsal Observation section below for more information.

OKCPHIL Education Internships
Education Interns are heavily involved with numerous Education programs offered by the OKC Philharmonic. Interns also receive additional exposure to concert production, administration, development, and marketing. Internships are paid OR can be used for college credit (if agreed upon by your educational institution). Click below for more information.
