Concert Details

Enigmas of Life brings together music that explores identity, spirit, and human connection. Under the direction of guest conductor Laura Jackson, the Oklahoma City Philharmonic presents a program that moves from bold energy to deep introspection.

Pianist Jon Nakamatsu takes the stage for Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1, a work full of brilliance, humor, and unmistakable confidence. The evening closes with Elgar’s Enigma Variations, a powerful and personal portrait of friendship, with each variation revealing a different character and story.

Opening the program is Stacy Garrop’s Goddess Triptych, a striking work inspired by myth and feminine strength, setting the tone for a night that feels both timeless and deeply human.
