Discovery Concerts 
Kids & FamiliesSeries of three affordable, hour long family-themed concerts accompanied by educational and entertaining pre-concert activities. Presented on Sunday afternoons.
Instrument Playground   
Kids & FamiliesA hands-on collection of select orchestral instruments for children to touch, feel, and play. Presented at various arts and public venues throughout the year.

Link Up


Schools A partnership with Carnegie Hall, students in grades 3-5 attend a free, day-time concert to hear the OKC Philharmonic perform, but also participate from their seats on recorder, violin, or voice. This year's performance will take place at OCCC.
Master Classes with the Guest Artists
HS & College students/CommunityPairs promising music majors from local universities with Philharmonic guest artists in one-on-one coaching sessions before a public audience.

Community This guide to music services lists area businesses that rent and sell new and used instruments, provide instrument repairs, and provide listings of private lessons and instructors.
Musical Stories
CommunityNarrated stories are accompanied by the string quartet "Strings in Stereo." Presented at The Children's Center Rehabilitation Hospital in Bethany.

Musician's Continuing Education Grant


 OKC Philharmonic Musicians Available to Philharmonic musicians. Designed to support musicians in their continued musical development.

Oklahoma City Orchestra League Music Competitions


HS & College students

Six state-wide competitions for student musicians and ensembles. Participants compete for cash prizes and a chance to play in a winner's recital.

Open Rehearsals


SchoolsSelect Philharmonic rehearsals are open and available to students and teachers by reservation only.

Play with the Pros


Adult  A community outreach event for amateur musicians, ages 25 and older. Participants will rehearse music on stage at the Civic Center Music Hall alongside members of the OKC Philharmonic. Free for participants. Family and friends are welcome to watch.

Society of Strings - Be the Orchestra (BTO)


AdultsBeginning violin, viola, cello, and bass courses for adults. Continuing education that serves as an introduction to orchestral instruments and ensemble playing.

Society of Strings - Bravo, Encore, and Sinfonia


Adults  Three beginning orchestras for adults who previously participated in Be the Orchestra's beginning and intermediate courses. The orchestras rehearse on a weekly basis and perform at multiple venues in and around OKC.
Sound Images
SchoolsIn a partnership with the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, Sound Images is a provided curriculum for grades 3-8 that introduces and compares music and visual arts terms. Students create artwork inspired by orchestral music for competition and display.

Teachers  Discounted tickets to "The Christmas Show" are offered to teachers who participate in our Link Up, Sound Images, We've Got Rhythm, and Youth Concerts programming.
We've Got Rhythm
SchoolsAn introduction to the orchestra for grade 3. Students receive a performance by an OKC Philharmonic ensemble and a hands-on experience where they will touch, feel, and play orchestra instruments. Prepares students for the final component - the Youth Concert.

Youth Concerts


SchoolsFree Philharmonic performances at the Civic Center Music Hall in Oklahoma City. Designed to showcase the orchestra and different musical families. Suggested for 3rd through 5th graders and beginning band and orchestra students.
