Join the OKCPHIL, Music Director Alexander Mickelthwate, and deadCenter Film for a special edition of Sunday in the Park, a FREE outdoor concert at Scissortail Park on May 17 at 8:30 PM, presented by the Scissortail Park Foundation.

The concert will feature Music from the Movies!, including John Williams’ Main Theme from Superman and Flying Theme from E.T., Justin Hurwitz’s Planetarium from La La Land, music from Top Gun, The Godfather, and Rocky, and Richard Strauss’ Also Sprach Zarathustra. The program will feature the award-winning animated short Whose Woods Are These, directed by Kate Nacher, which will be shown on screen with the orchestra performing the score and live special effects.

As part of this special partnership, deadCenter will officially reveal the schedule for the 26th annual deadCenter Film Festival.

You will enjoy an unforgettable evening celebrating community, creativity, and the magic that happens when music and cinema come together. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and the whole family to enjoy a beautiful night of live orchestral music under the Oklahoma City skyline.
