Marketing Associate: Audience Development and Digital Marketing

Schedule: 9am – 5pm (M-F), occasional weekends

POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Associate supports the planning and execution of marketing, advertising, and public relations activities. The role involves coordinating public appearances, fostering community partnerships as well as capturing and editing video and still photography at events for marketing materials and social media. The Marketing Associate educates patrons and the public on OKCPHIL concerts, educational programs, and other events via phone calls, in-person meetings, social media posts, and other marketing materials. Other responsibilities include answering patron questions, placing ticket and subscription orders, assisting with renewals, and assisting ticket holders.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Social Media & Digital Content

  • Assist the marketing team in developing the social media content pipeline and editorial calendar, ensuring consistency in brand voice and timely delivery of posts
  • Capture high-quality photo and video content at concerts and events for use across social media, digital marketing, and promotional materials
  • Create engaging social media posts across multiple platforms to grow engagement and followers
  • Engage with followers by responding to comments and messages to foster a positive, engaged online community
  • Monitor social media trends, algorithm changes, and viral content, incorporating them into the OKCPHIL’s content strategy

Marketing

  • Plan and coordinate public appearances and speaking engagements with community groups, media organizations, and educational institutions
  • Develop and steward relationships with community partners and generate individual and group ticket sales
  • Assist with promotional campaigns for concerts, educational programming, and special events

Patron Services

  • Assist customers inquiring about, or purchasing, tickets and subscriptions, while providing quality customer service and accurate information on a variety of subjects relating to concerts, facilities, and ticketing policies
  • Participate in ongoing patron support, season renewal, and other mailing activities
  • Assist patrons with tickets and questions at the box office before concerts and attend various programs and events
  • Ensure accurate and complete records, data entry, and filing systems
  • Maintain a positive and helpful attitude towards patrons, co-workers, musicians, guest artists, and others
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field, preferred
  • Strong storytelling ability with an eye for visual composition and brand consistency
  • Experience creating digital content and managing social media platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, mobile video editing tools, and graphic design software; Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a team and desire to contribute to the success of marketing initiatives
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Able to quickly learn software programs, such as ticket sales and email marketing software

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Sit and stand for extended periods, and walk, bend, and reach to access files/storage and office equipment
  • Using a computer while sitting for extended periods is common
  • Ability to communicate orally with patrons, vendors, management, and coworkers
  • Regular use of phone and email for communication
  • Hearing and vision correctable to within normal ranges for normal conversations, receiving ordinary information, and preparing or inspecting documents
  • No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of about 20 pounds of force (e.g., picking up and carrying binders and laptops) may be required
  • Manual dexterity is required to use common office equipment (e.g., computers, mobile devices, calculators, copiers, scanners)
